And we are quite the busy beehive, despite the slothful update status. Daylight Fades is gaining momentum, and we are putting together some major pieces in bringing it ever closer to your eyes. Old School would like to welcome Ryan Watt into the mix, and he is working diligently to raise the finances that can enable us to finally eliminate the stubborn "pre" in pre-production. With that said, if you have any thoughts, inclinations, or questions about investing in this film, I highly recommend getting in contact with Ryan.

The Aristocrunk Legacy
We recently got a chance to sit down with famed noblemen Lord T & Eloise and ask them a few questions. It is definitely tough to pin these guys down, as our interview was tightly scheduled between a brunch engagement with Queen Elizabeth II and a velociraptor hunting trip along the coast of Isla Nubar. Anyway, feel free to witness the lords ruminate over the many subjects of their multifaceted lives here:
Thank you auditioner...ers....those of you who auditioned
Well, we had quite an overwhelming response to our casting call a few weeks ago. Or so I'm told. I wasn't there, but these pictures are overwhelming enough to justify that statement. We'd like to thank all of you for coming out and reading for us. We are in the midst of reviewing all the material that we have amassed, namely tapes from the auditions, headshots, and notes. As we get through this, we'll be announcing our decisions in the near future. We definitely appreciate your enthusiasm and your willingness to support what we're trying to do.

OLD SCHOOL HAS A BAD CASE OF CASTING FEVER
We've recently completed the L.A. leg of casting for our upcoming feature, Daylight Fades. Now, we're very excited to get going with the talent in Memphis. Here's the lowdown:
What: Open Casting Call for the independent film, Daylight Fades When: Monday, October 8 and Tuesday, October 9 between 7:00 and 9:30 PM Where: The University of Memphis Theatre Building on Central Ave. Who: Women between the ages of 20 and 30, as well as women between 40 and 50. On the male front, we need guys between 20 and 30 and between 40 and 55.
If available, please send headshots and resumes in advance to mail@oldschoolpictures.net. We'll provide the sides at the audition, so no need to schedule an appointment. Just show up, kick some ass, and be as undouchebaggy as possible. If you do have any questions, though, send us an e-mail or attach the questions to a brick and then hurl it through Brad Ellis' window.

NEW FILM ON THE HORIZON
Well, after many months have passed since forcing many of you to watch Act One multiple times, we're very excited to post that we will soon have a new feature to shove down your throats. The shoot for our new film is fast approaching. We're looking at an early-mid October start date. The movie is tentatively titled Daylight Fades. We're working hard not to reveal too much about the plot right now, which will become increasingly difficult the more we try to bleed you lovely people dry of all of your resources. Or, you know, at least get you to do extra work. Yay, extra work! All we can tell you for now is...well...it's not Hustled 3. Okay, we'll give you a little more: It's a drama. Alright, it's a love story. Okay, fine, it's a love story with...other elements. Actually, it is Hustled 3, the more I think about it. Anyway, we're extremely anxious to get going on this. Pre-production is in full swing, from casting to crew and equipment assembly to, the most fun of all, raising financing. We're looking to step it up all around on this one, so feel free to start sending those $50,000 donation checks. No? Well, at least get ready to do some extra work. You people are so damn difficult... Anyway, more to come soon...

'Act One' on Mania TV
In case you missed out on our latest film, Act One is going to be shown on Mania TV this Saturday afternoon (June 2) at 3pm CST. Mania TV is a popular Internet television station where they broadcast live content as well as their own exclusive programming. Also, at some point during the screening, I'll be doing an interview with the host of the program, so be sure to check that out if you want to see me look stupid. The name of the program our film will be featured on is called Too Short for Hollywood.
Anyway, cruise over to their site on Saturday if you'd like to see Act One in its Internet streaming debut. And many thanks to Chad Simcox for his help in arranging the screening.

ON THE LOT
You may have heard of the new Spielberg produced reality series entitled, On the Lot. It's basically a show that pits 16 filmmakers against each other in a competition to win a $1 million development deal at Dreamworks.
We are somewhat involved with one of the entries as we were hired by Slacker Central Productions to shoot a short film called All Hallow's Eve. It's a family oriented story that deals with the pressures of moving to another city, while the main character simply wants to partake in the fun and excitement of Halloween. Jessica Powers wrote and directed the piece, while we were on set lending our help in shooting, lighting, and audio production.
The competition is based very heavily on audience voting so please check out the film, rate it, and leave some comments for Jessica.
